I'm liking the first pasta label, but with the type treatment (where the ingredients etc are) like the second label. I think the red stripe is unnecessary and that the logo is a bit large, I also like the exclusive (should it be exclusively?) at walmart in the back, I think Grand Island should get all the attention and then when the consumer turns the bottle around, they can find that it's the walmart brand.
I think the white version work better, the red ones remind me of Cambell's soup too much, especially on the Tortolini. Also I think the brand logo sticks out more against the white rather than the red.
I like the Tortollini boxes and the use of illustration. The pasta sauce seems a bit too illustrated and I kind of want to see a more organic look rather then straight illustration. I think the type for the tortollini needs to be bigger and try playing around with placement of the type. Since the box is long, have you tried to see what it looks like with the text reading up instead of sideways?
I like the first label on both of them. The second reminds me of cambell's soup. The Tortellini is still a bit plain. Maybe you can throw a bit of color into it my drawing a cilantro or mint on top of the tortellini. The sauce is looking nice though. Is this a can?
I like the red version of both the sauce and pasta. It gives both a richer feel. On the pasta, I feel that the tortellini are crowding everything out. Could the Grand Island logo colors be changed to go with the design?
Your first version is definitely better. It's cleaner than the your other set and it places more emphasis on the product than the structure. My two suggestions are to reduce the amount of type you have on there for the product bio and to make the two logos up top (in the pasta sauce) a tad smaller and possibly lined up somehow. Looking good!
For the Pasta Sauce, number 2 has a better layout, but I would avoid using a gradient. I would also play down the fact that it is a Walmart exclusive as there many negative connotations with the company. Tortellini #2 has potential, but again, a gradient doesn't feel appropriate.
im really torn between both the solid white background and the gradient one they both look good. the only thing is beside the logo being the same on both packages i don't really see a connection in both pieces. the pasta is a vector image and the sauce is a illustration. maybe if they were both the same type of image they would match more! other than that you could really go either way! good job!
gosh i cant decide between white and red..white is very clean and modern looking, but i think red will pop off the shelf better. good illustrations though. everything looks good
this version stick to itself. it very clear and broad . the design is much simple and modern. the first set is one for me but the red one is great too because it is noticable. good job
It's a bit difficult to decide between the two... I like the illustration on the sauce, but Im not sure about the pasta package. Maybe the type also need some more work... It does not really feel like it fits there quite yet. Overall, good job. -Helen
I like label one much better because it's easier to see. The second label, I feel like the transition of the gradient is too strong. For label one and box one, I would boost of the word Garlic Pasta Sauce and Tortellini just a tad bit. Overall, it is coming along great. =)

ReplyDeleteTOrtollini box is a good design but i feel that the name brand should be a lot bigger and the text shouldn't be too long . But over i all the design.

ReplyDeletei like the simple design on this one. the cool box is its main selling factor here. WHITE one. no more Gisland?

I like the layout on pasta 2, but I like the color choice on pasta 1.
ReplyDeleteFor the tortollini, I like the logo on 2 than on 1 because the logo on 1 looks too cluttered.
