Project 2 container photos and sketches

Container # 1

Container # 2

Container # 3

Container # 4 (I like the idea of this container, the problem is since I'm not including a bar of soap on my package, I don't know what I'm going to use it for.)

Container # 5

I know the sketch is not really a sketch. But I'm trying to experiment with type. this is I think the best way I can show my ideas.

  1. Container 5 is really working, it looks athletic and almost like a sports bottle.

When I think mountain biking, I see it as a clean sport, verses let's say motocross. Therefore I think logos 1 and 2 are the ones that work well. I wouldn't use any of the other ones because they have different associations, they look more grungy/punkish/urban rather than outdoorsy which is essential if it is a subbrand of a sports company.

  2. The grunge type isn't working but with a little tweaking, Logo #1 can work. It conveys the speed but the tread marks are difficult to recognize and will be difficult to reproduce as a small logo. If there is another way of conveying the outdoors feel, that logo is definitely usable.

  3. Structure #5 could work well with sketch #1. The black type with the silver bottle could make a good combination.

  4. I like sketch 2 and 3. everything else seems too busy. Interesting logos though.

  5. Your first sketch for type is the most legible one. The others, especially the last 3 are hard to decipher. As for your structure, I like container 3 and 5. They just look manly.

  6. I like sketch #1 and #3 the best. The other are nice, but might be better for a different product. I think both 1 and 3 have good potential. For structure the AXE container is awesome.

  7. as for logos im really liking 5 and 6 they say edgy other door extreme men product to me. as for packages the metal can for soap works but for the lotion i see that spilling it would need a cap not very outdoorish.

  9. Sketch #3 has a nice sleek vibe and attitude to it without looking too extreme. I'd go for this, I don't the others feel like shampoo or body wash.

I think container 5 would go well with sketch #3

I also like the metal soap containers, I'd design a soap bar just to use them.
